Good Night Scriptures

Psalm 3:5
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.

2 Samuel 14:17
"And now your servant says, 'May the word of my lord the king bring me rest, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the LORD your God be with you.' "

About Benjamin he said: "Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."

Psalm 4:8
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 68:13

Proverbs 3:24
when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Job 11:13-19
"Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.

Psalm 16:7-11
I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalm 62:1
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

Psalm 62:5
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 116:7
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the LORD leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
Isaiah 32:18
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Mark 6:31
… he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."

Hebrews 4:10
for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.

And my favorite:

Psalm 127:2
In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.

Once again, all Scriptures are NIV

  2. Psalm 16:7-11
I will praise the Holy Spirit of God, who counsels me as a guide in the darkness as darkness is the wanting of his light; even in darkness among the evil my heart instructs me. I have set the Holy Spirit of God always before me To Clear the path of righteousness. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken to abandon God's purpose in life. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices because what I speak from my lips does not defile me because I honor him by my words and actions; my body also will rest secure as a pure vessel, a host for the Holy Spirit to fill and do God's will for it is God's Holy Spirit that is Lord of the Hosts who gave the breath of life at God's command, because the Holy Spirit of God will not abandon me to the grave as I have divorced the wife of my youth, the flesh of which is not sustainable in spirit and joined with the bridegroom, the Holy Spirit, nor will the Holy Spirit of God let your Holy One see decay as I have become Holy in his light. You have made known to me the path of life since the Garden of Eden that Man created both Male and Female were created from dust and given spirit, cursed we were to toil the earth and plant the seed, as we were once not of the world and we had become of the world seeking our way back toiling ourselves to be free of the earth from which we were first free yet we were blinded and now we see; you will fill me with joy in your presence, as once we mature in spirit and except your precious Holy spirit we once again have communion with our God Lord of all.
